Fashion God’s Way : Part 2 – Jeans and Sweatpants

First of all, I would like to say if I was in England, I would not say pants. In European countries, pants means an entirely different item… undergarments. Okay I will leave it at that.
I thought this would be a good time for part two to be about pants. Jeans and Sweatpants to be exact.
As I have covered in the part 1, I’m not a huge girly girl. I really enjoy wearing jeans and sweats much more than dresses and skirts. I like to feel comfy, especially on a rainy day. Sweats haven’t been a huge struggle to buy, as long as they are not tight on the gluteus maximus and fit comfortably without showing off too many curves. But jeans, they have always been harder to find. A perfect fit which flatters the shape of your body.
A few things to remember when shopping for jeans -
1. Figure out the style that you like and that looks best on you. You want jeans that flatter your figure.
2. The areas that shouldn’t be too tight is the bottom and hips. Make sure the jeans don’t “hug” too tightly on those areas.
3. If you have a crafty mother like me, then slight problems like if the waist of the jeans are a little too big or the jeans are too long, it can be fixed pretty easily.
4. Lastly, ask the opinion of another person. Mother, sister, aunt, cousin, even brothers or fathers. Sometimes you don’t realize how a item of clothing looks on you from another perspective.
Okay, onto some of my favorite styles of jeans!
1. Dark Flare Jeans – These jeans go great with a tshirt, dressy shirt, tennis shoes or heels! Also dark jeans can have a slimming effect ![]()

2. Colorful Skinny Jeans – A word, you have to be careful when wearing these. Officially if you are skinny, then you can pull it off. But if you are a little bit bigger, than make sure they are not too tight. I am not a size 2 and my legs aren’t super skinny, but I have a pair. And I made sure beforehand, that they looked okay and were not too tight. Skinny jeans are great for wearing with UGGs (fake or real, I have both
), or heels or black boots.

3. Trouser Style Dark Jeans – I have yet to buy a pair of these but I love the look of these with heels or flats.

4. Faded Bootcut Jeans – I’m not a huge fan of faded jeans, but I do like the bootcut style. Also quite nice for wearing with heels and/or boots.

5. A pair of sweatpants I really like
My favorite baseball team! Go Twins!
