Gone with the Wind

Gone with the Wind

I just finished reading Gone with the Wind! It was about 900 pages and very well written! The book was written by Margaret Mitchell and she did a great job with all the characters! Especially the two in the pictures above. There are about 4 main characters. And I have included two of the most important characters. Their names are Scarlett O’Hara and Rhett Butler. Scarlett is a proud, haughty, spoiled girl. But you see her grow up just a tad bit in Gone with the Wind. Rhett Butler is a rich, proud man that everyone in the town doesn’t really like.

Near the end they marry each other. But their marriage is hardly what you would call a happy one. These two characters you are not really supposed to like but Margaret Mitchell did a fantastic job describing them and establishing their character. I also love the movie Gone with the Wind, but I am convinced that the book is soooo much better. If you are up for a novel that includes love, hatred, jealousy, sorrow, joy and hope, why don’t you pick up Gone with the Wind and read it!
