My Life : New Blog Theme, New Favorite Song, & Christmas

First off, you probably have noticed, I have a new blog theme! I decided that it was time for something new. I also custom made the header which is a closeup of a picture I took of a german Bible in Germany!
I hope you like the new look!

Next, My new favorite song from Chris Tomlin is, I Will Follow.
It’s a good reminder that whatever happens, we should follow God!

Now last, but not least, MERRY CHRISTMAS!
There are 8 DAYS LEFT BEFORE CHRISTMAS! where did the year go?!
I can hardly believe its Christmas already.
I hope that you… “have yourself, a merry little Christmas…”
And that this is… “the most wonderful time of the year…” for you!
But don’t forget the true center of Christmas, (try writing it this way : CHRISTmas!), Jesus Christ!

My Life : My First BarlowGirl Concert, part 1

So Saturday Night, (yep, the night that it was snowing hard!) I went to my first BarlowGirl concert!
No snow was stopping me! My dad (bless him!) walked me over (we couldn’t get our car out of the driveway!) and came to pick me up at 10:00 at night to walk me home. Glad it wasn’t a far walk!
I got giddy when I saw their tour bus in front of North Central, and giddier when I walked in and saw some of the people that are best friends with BarlowGirl. It was an amazing concert! I believe God truly showed up there that night. Because of the snow, there was about 40 people. Small, but a good number. And towards the end, Lauren Barlow and Alyssa Barlow spoke some powerful words of encouragement. And Lauren prayed a beautiful prayer. We ended singing How He Loves Us by David Crowder, with no instruments, just voices, with hands lifted up. What a night! Now, for the pictures!

But before the pictures, let me explain about the pictures.
The first one is from one of the two opening bands, Dave Lubben, a singer I had never heard. His voice was beautiful and amazing! loved it!
The next pictures you will see are from a band called Reilly. Reilly has been touring with BarlowGirl for BarlowGirl’s christmas tour. Reilly was amazing since it featured two violinists. The guy is usually playing for Reilly with his wife, but he told us with a smile that his wife is very pregnant with their second child! The woman playing is a friend of Reilly’s.
Then finally you will get to the BarlowGirl pictures. Btw, I was closest to Lauren (blonde) and Rebecca,(on guitar) and that’s why there are more photos of them then of Alyssa, who was on piano! Enjoy!

Oh, How He loves us!

I was over at my friend’s house, and we came down to the kitchen and her dad was playing this video on the computer. It’s such a powerful video. I feel like I’m there.
And when I watch this video I get goosebumps. This vocalist is really pouring her heart out for her God.
It is a longer video, but worth every minute.

Owl City is my new favorite band! This song may not sound like a christian song from the title, but it is. The song is very short but meaningful! The one line that stands out to me the most is “I desperately need you”. Because we desperately need God in our lives!

This song lets me know that I am free to be me! That I don’t have to pretend to be someone else, because God loves me just the way I am!

7. Far Away by Lecrae
I first heard this song at a concert called Hip Hop for Haiti. It was so powerful and convicting. We need to be the church and reach out to all the suffering people in Haiti.

8. Break Free by Hillsong United
I first heard this song at Passion 2010 in Atlanta, Georgia. I love this song so much! I got to meet Hillsong United at Passion and they are a great band! I really encourage you to find some of their other songs so you can listen to them!

9. Never Alone by Barlowgirl
This song reminds me that I am never alone! God will always be there for me!

10. Center by Charlie Hall
This song reminds me that I should NOT be the center of my life, God should!

BarlowGirl is my absolute favorite band! They are three sisters who have a passion for Jesus Christ. They sing about purity and about how great our God is!

A powerful reminder for us that we shouldn’t waste our lives! Lecrae is my favorite rap artist!

Hillsong United

Hillsong United is a band that I really really like! They came to Passion and I got to go to two concerts that they did! It was a really amazing worship time. It seemed less like a concert and more like worship. My favorite song of theirs is called Desert Song. So I have found it for you to listen. I don’t think you can watch them sing in the video I attached but you can definitely hear the song! Enjoy!
