As you now see, I have changed my blog just a bit. I have a different theme now… I am thinking about actually designing my own theme because none of wordpress’s themes completely please me.
Anyway, I wanted to post some videos of some amazing musicians and/or songs i really like.
To start us off, Yiruma! Yiruma is AMAZING! he rocks the piano AND writes his own pieces! what a man!
My favorite piece is River Flows in You. Now don’t skip to the end because you think it isn’t worth it, just watch the entire thing.
ahhh, i think tears fall from my eyes every time i listen to this….
Next, Mumford and Sons! I just discovered this talented band and fell in love with their song, The Cave.
After that, one of my favorite youtube singers (Tyler Ward) did a amazing cover of it with his friend Megan. That one is beautiful too!

I don’t want to say too much about this, but I will warn you, its not exactly like the book, but as far as movies go, it is an excellent movie! Good actors, good effects, good storyline, good feeling inside when they defeat evil! And not to mention, good clean movie, no profane language, or inappropriate parts.

1. Thanksgiving!
I LOVE Thanksgiving! Not just because of the food, but because of the fellowship. I like being with family and friends on a holiday like that. A holiday where we sit around the table and talk all together about pleasant things and enjoy one another’s company!
2. Christmas Break!
I am SO EXCITED for Christmas Break! I have longed for it for a long time! When you’re in high school, you tend to long for Christmas break more than you used to and for different reasons! Yes I do like presents and singing Christmas carols and seeing friends and family, and baking christmas cookies… but Christmas is so much more about Jesus! And thats the number one reason I LOVE Christmas is that its a holiday where we get to celebrate Jesus being born. Because think about it, if Jesus wasn’t born, we wouldn’t be saved and we would probably be in hell because we would be the ones to pay the price for our sins. But because Jesus came into the world, we don’t have to. He took the blame for us! That amazes me every day!
Another reason I am excited for Christmas break is a break from school. School is very demanding on my time. Because of school I don’t spend as much time with my friends as I would like to! So I am hoping that this break I will get more time to do things with my friends. Like ice skating, sledding, having a snowball fight, sipping hot chocolate, baking cookies, and just chatting and laughing with them! I love my friends and I value the friendships and I would like to strengthen those relationships!
3. Voyage of the Dawn Treader
VOTDT (title just in letters) comes out on December 10 this year!!! I am so excited! I had hoped to go opening night but I don’t think I am going to. But anyway I am going to see it when it comes out! VOTDT is one of my favorite CS Lewis books so even though I know they will change the movie, I am still excited to go see it! Who’s with me??!!

4. BarlowGirl Concert!!!!!
I am stoked for this concert! The concert is going to be at North Central right by my house!

The main reason I am excited for this concert is that BarlowGirl has really impacted my life!
I first learned about them probably about two years ago and then they were just a band. But as I grew I looked to them as more like role models. Especially in the area of purity. I bet if you typed in purity and Barlowgirl into google you will find at least one interview (probably more) about them speaking out for purity. Its a issue thats all over their songs as well. One song in particular became my favorite. Its called Average Girl, and its all about not focusing on dating right now, but waiting for your prince to come. And the bridge’s basic message is that God is preparing your prince for you! It’s such a sweet reminder for me to be patient and to wait for my prince to come because God is writing my love story.

I do have some prayer requests too:
1. That I would stay focused with school and finish well and strong
2. That this holiday season I would keep my eyes on Jesus
3. That through the business I would get the proper sleep I need and be healthy
4. That I would be able to spend quality time with my precious family and friends’

The Riverview is one of my favorite places to go! The reason is that it is super cheap!
It is $2 per person….. TWO DOLLARS! WOW! that’s a super good deal! The Riverview is a really nice place to go for family fun nights, or for a date night! It does take longer for new movies to come to the Riverview, but if you’re willing to wait, its definitely worth it! So if you want to go see a movie, I would go see it at the Riverview Theater… Just two dollars for a great experience!
